Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Astra23 Security processes, why, and the choices you have. It is written to be read, not to be hidden behind.
1. Who we are
Astra23 Security ("Astra23", "we", "us") provides AI vision software that analyzes video from cameras that our customers already operate.
2. Information we process
On behalf of our customers, we process video streams from their cameras solely to detect the events defined by their chosen rules. From these streams we retain short event clips and event metadata (timestamp, camera identifier, rule triggered, severity, and detection confidence). We do not retain continuous background footage.
To operate accounts, we also process account information you provide directly — such as your name, work email, organization, and the details you submit through our forms.
3. How we use information
We use video and event data only to generate the alerts, dashboards, and reports that our customer has configured. We use account information to create and support your account, respond to your requests, and communicate about the service.
4. What we do not do
We do not sell your footage, detections, or personal information. We do not share them with third parties except service providers strictly necessary to run the service, and we do not use your footage to train models unrelated to your own deployment.
5. Retention and deletion
Event clips and metadata are retained only for the retention window associated with the customer's plan, after which they are automatically deleted. Customers may shorten retention or delete specific events at any time. Account information is retained for as long as the account is active and for a reasonable period afterward as required for legal and operational purposes.
6. Security
We encrypt data in transit and at rest, apply role-based access controls, and log access to stored clips. For edge deployments, raw video can remain entirely on the customer's premises.
7. Roles and responsibilities
For business deployments, the customer determines what is monitored and is responsible for informing the individuals in view of their cameras as required by applicable law. Astra23 processes video on the customer's instructions. For home accounts, the account holder is responsible for how their own cameras are used.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
